It is very concerning that more than two in three people do not feel that they have any influence on what the government does - an indictment of the health of our democracy. The figures have worsened over the past three years, since data started being collected in mid-2022. This data is also broken down by age and gender, and shows even higher levels of agreement among those aged 25 to 34 and aged 65 to 74. Differences between men and women are slim.
