Fran Darlington-Pollock is Chair of the Board of Trustees for The Equality Trust and currently works as a Research Advisor for an INGO. Fran has held positions as a Lecturer in Population Geography (University of Liverpool), and as Lecturer in Health Geography (Queen Mary, University of London). She is currently a Visiting Research Fellow in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of York, and continues to write and research as a population and health geographer, with an expertise on understanding and tackling inequality in society. She holds a PhD in Human Geography (University of Leeds), a MSc in Social and Spatial Inequalities and BA (Hons) in Politics (University of Sheffield). She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers, and of the Higher Education Academy.
