Professor Emerita Geraldine Van Bueren KC is a Visiting Fellow at Kellogg College Oxford, Honorary Senior Fellow at the British Institute of International and Comparative Law and a member of Doughty Street Chambers. She holds a Leverhulme Fellowship for her work on Social Mobility, Class and Law, chairs the international Alliance of Working Class Academics, headed a UNESCO project on Law's Duty to the Poor and is writing Class and Law (Hart).
She served as a Commissioner on the Equality and Human Rights Commission, is one of the original drafters of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, was awarded the UNICEF/Law Society prize for her work on children's rights and her latest book on children's rights was co-authored with Angelina Jolie.
