Charlie Trew is Head of Policy at Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity that fights for the right to a safe home. In this role he is responsible for Shelter's policy positions on all major housing issues, from homelessness to social housing. Before Shelter, he worked in Housing policy and strategy in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and has held a number of roles across Government, including in the Cabinet Office, the Home Office, the Ministry of Defence and HMRC.
